Dear Customer,

Thanks for your query.

It appears that your application is unable to locate the required Feature that matches the scope.

Please note that this error is faced if API is not able to access license (Feature) with defined scope XML.

Kindly share the following details:

- Is it a network license or standalone license.?

- Are you using SL license or HL license?

- Are you able to open the Admin Control Center (http://localhost:1947/_int_/devices.html) and see if the license is visible under 'Sentinel Keys' page?

It is always recommend to use the latest HASP/LDK drivers. Here is the link to download HASP/LDK drivers 7.60


After downloading the drivers and extracting it, Open the Command Prompt (CMD) with Admin Rights and browse to the drivers location.

a. Type in the following command:

haspdinst -purge

b. Then, type in command:

haspdinst -I

Error: A pending order currently exists for this key

Hi!

I have recycled the Sentinel HL Max key and then I try to burn the new licence I get following error message:

Status
Activation failed with status code :4181. You cannot generate an update for this Sentinel Protection key. A pending order currently exists for this key.

I am unable to burn any licence into this key. A kind advice on what can be done in this case is highly appreciated!

Hello Oleg,

Thanks for raising the concern.

It seems like some updates created for this key were not applied which lead to the inconsistency.

For this problem, you can format the license key using the format V2C option or we can generate the pending updates and apply them on the respectively before applying the latest update.

How to Transfer Sentinal SL to a new machine

I have a doubt,


I need to transfer the license from one machine to another and we can not do it.


We follow the process of transference of lynx as follows:


1- We generate the recipient information "transfer.id" from the target machine "recipient computer";

2- In the "Source computer" when trying to generate the transference name from the file "transfer.id" in the RUS program,

it was not possible to select the license in the "Transfer License" tab to generate the file "new.h2h". (print follows)




Can anybody help me?

Broken HASP installation

I had a customer from a long time ago call about failing HASP installation.  

It uses a black HASP HL (memory hasp) device.  It appears we programmed our own service using the hasp api.

I have a suspicion that the problem is the device failed, but it's also possible the OS is not running the driver or service correctly.  Do you know how I can test the hardware clock is running?

Can replacements be purchased?

Hi Alan,

Hope you are keeping well.

Please follow the given instructions and share the results:

1. Does the HASP HL key glows when connected on the machine?

2. Try to plug in the HL key on another port of same machine and observe.

3. Open Device Manager, see if Windows is able to recognize your HASP HL key under 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers'.

4. Try to connect the HASP key on another machine and share the result.

5. Are you able to open http://localhost:1947/_int_/ACC_help_index.html on the machine where key is connected? If yes, does the HASP HL key visible under 'Sentinel Keys' page?

Sentinel HASP Pro Problems with VS 2015 (CPP) and Envelope

We have previously successfully used the HASP Pro dongles to lock our software, as follows:
1. LDK - envelope-protect our EXE and DLLS
2. our software queries the dongle ID on start-up and compares with an encoded
3. for delivery to customers, we build an installer which runs haspdinst.
Our software was written and compiled using Visual Studio 2003.

We are now using Visual Studio 2015 and I am trying to lock our software to the dongles and I find that if I envelope protect the EXEs and DLLs as before, the software won't run when the dongle is plugged in. On some computers, it generates an error message ("xxx has stopped working Windows can check online for a solution to the problem") and on others it quietly terminates. Sometimes it hangs and you have to end the process from the task manager.

I have been using 5 computers, 1 of which is running windows 10 and the others Windows 7. The developer environment is installed on a windows 7 machine.

When we build our software, we link against the following libs:
legacy_stdio_definitions.lib
libhasp_cpp_windows_mtd_msc7.lib,
libhasp_windows_106576.lib

If I don't use Envelope, our licensing procedure works and the software runs, but we lose the extra level of protection.

Any ideas??

5. there were two listed.  it was difficult to discern which was what.

To clarify the model, it's black, and the label on the back says 
TIME   06AP 2.2a  QQIXB

I also found some newer replacements we have in stock.   Model
TIME    11DC 325-62  QQIXB

I'm in the process of programming one and shipping it to see if it works better.

@Gaurav: Linux distributions often need a simple download option like FTP or plain HTTP. Arch Linux, a popular Linux distribution with developers and other more cutting-edge folk, provides in it's "User Repository" a nice "aksusbd" package, complete with systemd service files (very important added value!), which I use extensively at work.

This package (and possibly others) depend on a non-interactive download option. It would be very very nice of you guys to enable that. If the concern is with clicking through the EULA, then all package managers that I know of, provide the option to install any license agreement needed into the central license file location. In my case (Arch Linux) I simply have to open "/usr/share/licenses/aksusbd/LICENSE" in order to read the license. In addition some packages make use of the possibility to remind the user after or even before installation to read the license and agree to it, before using the software. I'm sure that a request for adding this prompt will be completely unproblematic.

PS: There is ftp.safenet-inc.com, but it doesn't do anything - maybe use that one? ;)

I was able to find a 32 bit system so I could run the old tools.  Everything worked on the 32 bit system but figuring out how to convert that into success on a newer 64 bit OS is challenging me.  Any advice?

Good to know that you are able to program keys on 32 bit operating system.

I would like to inform that the HASP4 is a legacy product and its developer tools have been discontinued.

Please note that HaspEdit is only supported on 32 bit machines. HASP Edit may work on Windows 7 (32bit). However, the “HASP Edit for Windows 32bit” is only officially tested for Windows XP 32bit.

It is recommended to move to the new protection solution of Sentinel HASP.
