Dear Customer,

Thanks for reaching out to Gemalto.

Could you please confirm the version of Sentinel HASP/LDK drivers which you are trying to install? The Windows status code -1906441208 could be a signed integer value.

Please click the below link to download and try to install our latest Sentinel HASP/LDK drivers version 7.63 :


After downloading the drivers and extracting it, Open Command Prompt (CMD) with Admin Rights and browse to the drivers location.

a. Type in the following command:
haspdinst -purge

b. Then, type in command:
haspdinst -i

Windows 10 Updates 2018-02

Hello,

I can't install the latest security updates (2018-02) for Windows 10 (1507 LTSB. 1607 LTSB and 1709) on x86 (32 bit) computers with installed HASP Driver (7.63).

The updates forces an early reboot an i have to rollback to 2018-01.

Deinstalling the driver / update Windows / reinstalling the driver works, but the protected application won't start anymore. 

Any hints?

Trouble running sentinel license manager service

trying to instally Mynah Technology's MiMiC software these past couple weeks and have been consistently stopped by this error message:

I get it during the MiMiC install wizard, and I also get the identical error when I run haspdinst.exe to install the driver(s). if I try to manually start the service after getting this error it "closes unexpectedly" and it cannot be run. I have full administrative privileges on this network and computer, and am running version 10.0.15063 of windows 10 Pro. I have contact with mynah technology and they have offered to help in any way they can.

Hi Maxwell,

Please share the details about the antivirus installed on the machine.
This problem may be caused due to the antivirus blocking the service.

Try after adding the following file in the exception list of antivirus-
C:\Windows\System32\hasplms.exe

If you still face the issue then try uninstalling the antivirus and then install the drivers. The antivirus can installed back once the drivers are installed and service is started successfully. (Adding the file in exception list may still be required to keep the service running).

Hello,

what do you mean with "after following second step"?


If I reinstall the HASP-Driver after udating Windows and I start the protected application the Computer restarts immediately!

Currently running McAfee antivirus, it is the only one we run. hasplms.exe was actually already in the "safe programs" list when I went to add it, so I went ahead and disabled my active scanning and tried to do the installer and it did not fix the error.

Key Memory Default Value

Hi,
We've been using the HASP SRM key for a while now.  We use the API to directly read/write in the key memory.  We ran into a strange issue.  It seems some key arrive from the manufacturer with 0xFF value by default but some arrive with 0x00.  It does not seem to be related to a specific date/lot because I have a mix of older and newer key that has different value stored by default.
I'm little bit surprise by this as I expect all key to arrive the same way.  Maybe someone can tell me what to expect?

Could you please confirm if you have received the HASP SRM key directly through Gemalto or from our partner?

The starting memory value of an unused key should be 0x00 by default. 

- Please connect the SRM Key received with 0xFF value by default and open the LDK Toolbox.
- Using hasp_read API, set Offset value to 0(if available) and specify the Memory Length (for e.g. 4032). 

Execute the API and share the screenshot of result with us by getting in touch through our Gemalto Customer Support portal <https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm/>.

HI Maxwell,

Some antivirus still have certain background services running even if scanning and other settings are disabled.
These services can block the installation of drivers. Please try after completely uninstalling the antivirus.

Hi Gaurav,


Sorry for the delay. I downloaded the latest installer as you linked and tried both commands successively. My error code is now 42 5 1317 -1906441208.


I have also tried it with different options


-fr -kp -purge

and
-i -fi -kp -fss -v


I have also added the installer to our antivirus exceptions and am running it from an elevated administrator mode run.exe.

I went ahead and tried it without McAfee installed and it did not have any change in behavior. have we confirmed that the driver installer is compatible with windows 10 version 15063?

Yes, the drivers are compatible with this version.
